We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Electrical Resident Technician to join our team and provide hands‐on support for a state‐of‐the‐art automated warehouse system. This is a site‐based role where you'll work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime. Working a rotating 12-hour shift, this role is integral to our success on this site.

Candidates must be available to work rotating day and night shifts over 7 days.
n
You'll be the go‐to expert on site, playing a critical role in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement—and be an essential part of a global network of automation professionals.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Working a rotational Day and Night shift, encompassing some weekends and public holidays.
n
Respond to and resolve breakdowns, support shutdowns, and carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure minimal disruption.
n
Complete work orders in the CMMS system (Computerised Maintenance Management System) accurately and on time.
n
Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet OEM standardsand AS**** wiring compliance.
n
Support the CSS Residential Site Manager and Team Leaders in onboarding and training recent technicians on SSI SCHAEFER automated equipment.
n
Liaise with our international helpdesk and R&D; departments to resolve complex technical and design issues.
n
Provide real‐time updates to the CMMS, including fault descriptions, spare part usage, and recommended inventory changes.
n
Proactively collaborate with the customer's operations team to maintain a safe, productive, and positive working environment.
n
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Champion a culture of safety and complianceon site at all times.
n

What You're Bringing
n
n
An unrestricted Electrical Licence is required for this position.
n
2+ years of experience in the automation industry, ideally in a similar resident or field service technician role.
n
Hands‐on knowledge of automated warehouse systems, including fault finding on PLC, VSDs, and mechatronic equipment.
n
Experience using CMMSplatforms.
n
Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
n
Post‐trade certification in Pneumatics and
Hydraulics(advantageous).
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
The ability to interpret technical drawings and manualswith confidence.
n
Must have Australian work rights.
