We specialise in the repair and rebuild of domestic and commercial properties following insured events including fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage.
About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced and motivated
Field Estimators
to join our team, servicing the
Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast
regions.
In this role, you will manage the estimating and pre-construction process for allocated insurance repair projects. You will work closely with our Project Management and Claims teams, as well as our trades and contractor network, to ensure projects are accurately scoped, priced and reported.
You will also assist with trade procurement and allocation within your assigned region.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Estimate and provide assessments for building damage resulting from insured events
Prepare accurate scopes of work, schedules and costings
Manage allocated small to medium repair projects
Monitor budgets and maintain cost control
Identify immediate property risks and mitigate damages
Liaise with clients, trades, suppliers and internal teams
Provide accurate pricing and reporting to support excellent claim outcomes
Maintain accurate job files and online reporting systems
Work closely with Project Management and Claims teams to ensure a smooth transition from assessment to construction
As our business is closely linked to weather events and major insurance claims,
occasional travel may be required during significant weather events.
Experience in
major loss insurance building and estimating
is highly desirable. Attention to detail, quality workmanship and the ability to deliver accurate work within quick turnaround times are essential.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has a strong, cooperative work ethic and a positive attitude
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is comfortable building relationships in a relaxed and conversational environment
Has sound practical knowledge of residential construction and renovations
Understands a range of housing styles, building materials and finishes
Has experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Builder or Building Supervisor
Holds relevant building, trade, TAFE or university qualifications/licences (desirable)
Can work independently and manage competing priorities
Has strong organisational and time-management skills
Is confident using computers and mobile technology
Has experience with the Prime Ecosystem or similar systems (desirable)
