About the Role
A major battery storage rollout is underway across NSW, involving 12 new sites from 100MW/200MWh utility-scale systems to distributed 5MW projects.
We are seeking a Lead SCADA Engineer to play a key role in integrating these projects into the grid.
This is a growth role, ideal for a senior SCADA/Control Systems Engineer who's ready to step into leadership.
You'll remain hands-on with integration and testing, but will also be responsible for guiding junior engineers, delegating work, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and grid requirements.
What You'll Do
Lead SCADA and control system integration across multiple BESS sites
Deliver and oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning, and site acceptance testing
Work with platforms including Schneider ADMS, Zenon, and common protocols (IEC *****, DNP3, Modbus)
Coordinate with design, protection, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and subcontractors




Support regulatory compliance processes with AEMO and local DNSPs
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and project managers
What We're Looking For
Background in SCADA, control systems, automation, or substation integration
Hands-on experience with commissioning, protocols, and SCADA configuration
Exposure to BESS, renewables, or utility-scale energy projects
Comfortable delegating tasks and guiding less experienced engineers
Strong communicator – able to explain complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with Schneider ADMS or Zenon is highly regarded
