Base pay range
A$125,******/yr - A$130,******/yr

Description
As the Payroll Team Lead, you will ensure operational excellence, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction while driving innovation and team development.
Lead, coach, and mentor the payroll team to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Support onboarding and training of new team members.
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities.
Ensure accurate and timely payments, deductions, and statutory submissions.
Review and approve payroll runs,



reconciliations, and reports.
Support year-end payroll processes.
Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, awards, and tax obligations.
Assist with audits and implement controls to mitigate risks.
Maintain quality assurance and stay current with regulatory changes.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Collaborate on system upgrades, testing, and integrations.
Maintain payroll procedures and training documentation.
Build cross functional relationships with HR, ER, Finance, and Operations.
Profile
Leadership style: flexible, engaging, transparent, open/honest, and a bit of fun!
Candidates who can build relationships and bring the team along the change management journey!
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with payroll systems and a passion for continuous improvement.
