About the Rolen
We're seeking a
Senior Project Engineer
to join our team on the Port Hedland Dampier Salt Concentrator Repair Upgrade Project. This is a pivotal role overseeing a critical civil works package, with a strong focus on earthworks. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in earthworks delivery and lead engineering efforts to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality outcomes in a remote environment.

You'll mentor junior engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive project success through technical leadership and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilitiesn
n
Lead engineering delivery of civil works with a primary focus on
earthworks
, including bulk excavation, compaction, and ground improvement
n
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet milestones
n
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
n
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain strong working relationships
n
Review and prepare technical documentation, drawings,



and method statements
n
Resolve design and constructability issues with innovative solutions
n
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and environmental obligations
n
Support surveying, setting out, and dimensional control activities
n
Drive value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management
n
Mentor and support Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Graduates
n
Skills and Experiencen
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (CPEng or RPEQ preferred)
n
Minimum 7 years' experience in civil infrastructure projects with a strong and proven background in earthworks - this is a mandatory requirement
n
Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and codes
n
Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental best practices
n
Experience with contract administration and commercial management
n
