Pipemakers is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Leading Hand to join our manufacturing team in Deer Park.
n

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you'll be overseeing maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support safe, efficient production.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Conducting preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment
n
Supervising and supporting the maintenance team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance activities
n
Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, record, and manage maintenance activities.
n
Support engineering projects, equipment installations, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
n
Monitoring equipment performance and identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and productivity
n
Maintaining tooling, ensuring correct storage, cleanliness and accurate tooling records
n
Collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives
n
Ordering maintenance parts and tooling as required and maintaining maintenance documentation
n
Promoting a strong safety culture through compliance with site procedures, permit systems, LOTO requirements and WHS initiatives
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or plant environments, including 5+ years leading maintenance staff, allocating work, supporting trades or fitters, and coordinating with production on breakdowns and planned maintenance
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
A proactive and safety-focused approach
n
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
n
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
n
Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance documentation
n
A current Forklift Licence and a valid EWP license
n
Experience within plastics, extrusion or manufacturing environments
n
Knowledge of extrusion tooling, PVC, OPVC or PE production processes
n
Experience with preventative maintenance systems and equipment troubleshooting
n
Understanding of quality systems, continuous improvement practices and workplace health and safety requirements
n
