Here's what you'll need
To succeed inthisrole, you will bring:
Registration as aVictorian Registered Heritage Advisor, with the qualifications andexperiencerequiredtolead fieldworkin accordance withthe current Minister's Guidelines; orworking towards Heritage Advisor status.
AnHonours or postgraduate degreein archaeology, heritage management, or a related discipline.
Approx.
3–6+ years' consulting experience,with a focus on Aboriginal heritage in Victoria(additionalexperienceoutside Victoria and/or in historical heritage isadvantageous).
Working knowledge ofState andCommonwealthheritagelegislation, associated regulations, and guidelines (experience outside Victoria is beneficial).
ExperiencecontributingtoCultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs)and deliveringhigh-qualityheritage advice.
Solidresearch, fieldwork, and site analysisskills.

Strongtechnical writing and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clearandaccurateheritagereports.
Effectiveverbal communication and stakeholder engagementskills.
Acollaborative approach, with the ability to work bothindependently and as part of a team.
The ability tomanage small to medium-sized projects, delivering on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
In the Project Archaeologist / Heritage Advisorrole, you will:
Leadsmall to medium heritage projects(i.e. high-leveladvice and CHMPs), including fieldwork and reporting.
Support senior team members onlarger and more complex projects.
Prepareheritage reports and assessments, withappropriate guidanceand review.
Contribute to a positive team environment and supportknowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
