About the role
We are a fast paced surgical ward consisting of 32 beds, with specialties of Urology, Thoracic, Bariatric, Gynaecological and General Surgery.
The Ward Clerk is an extremely important role in the smooth running of the ward. They are the first person that families and patients see on arrival, they are responsible for triaging phone calls in the ward, they are responsible for accurate filing in patient histories, responsible for admitting and discharging patients from the ward list, as well as many other tasks.

Excellent computer and technical literacy
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the
Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)
. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
