We are seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Purchasing & Shipping Officer to join our team at North Ryde.
This is a hybrid role combining purchasing administration with shipping and logistics coordination.
The position offers flexibility, allowing the successful candidate to choose between full-time or part-time employment according to their preference and availability.

Compiling purchase orders
Corresponding with overseas suppliers (predominantly China and Vietnam)




Checking and maintaining the accuracy of supplier reports
Coordinating orders with suppliers
Ensuring orders are accurately allocated to shipping containers within specified timeframes
Reviewing and checking shipping documents once goods have shipped, and reconciling these against purchase orders and invoices
Coordinating container bookings with shippers/forwarders to ensure bookings align with our shipping schedules and container fit/utilisation requirements
Attending to enquiries from showrooms and warehouses
Assisting with purchasing team administration
Qualifications
Qualifications
Good written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin is essential
Experienced and knowledgeable in exporting/importing, including payment terms and import documentation/procedures
Experience reviewing and reconciling shipping documents (e.g. bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices)
Experience coordinating container bookings with overseas shippers/forwarders
Excellent office administration experience
A motivated self-starter with an eye for detail
Competent using Microsoft Office software
Excellent time management and organisational skills
