What you'll be doing
You'll be given the opportunity to develop your underwriting skills while working closely with a strong broker panel.
Your role will include:
Underwriting recent business and renewals for residential strata risks within your delegated authority
Providing high-quality support and service to an allocated broker panel
Building strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
Assessing risks and applying underwriting guidelines
Developing your understanding of risk selection, pricing and portfolio profitability
Working with the team to continually improve service standards
Managing your workload with strong attention to detail and time management
You don't need to be an experienced Underwriter.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
12+ months' experience in Property Claims, Insurance Customer Service or Underwriting Assistance
A genuine interest in moving into Underwriting
Property experience is ideal, but Commercial Motor underwriting assistant experience will also be considered
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A commercial mindset and desire to develop
A competitive nature and drive to achieve results
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Excellent attention to detail and organisation
