Job Description
Position: Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner (FT or PT)

In this pivotal role, you will champion clinical excellence, mentor emerging practitioners, and shape positive outcomes. In this role, you will collaborate directly with our Clinical Manager (an Advanced BSP & Psychologist). Benefit from dedicated case consultations, deep-dives into complex restrictive practices, and academic-grade clinical insights to elevate your practice.

What the position looks like:
n
n
Leading,
teaching and mentoring collaboratively to foster best practice in behaviour support
n
Co-creating Behaviour Support Plans (Interim Behaviour Support Plans and/or Comprehensive Positive Behaviour Support Plans) in partnership with the person with a disability, and working collaboratively with their supporters and stakeholders
n
n
n
Enabling person-led and centred goal achievement, enhancing valued and meaningful outcomes, and mitigating environmental concerns through evidence-based practices
n
Show skills in implementation of Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with and centred around the focus person - employing data to inform supports and improve outcomes
n
Growing and cultivating strong relationships with key implementers and stakeholders
n
Demonstrate a commitment to reflective practice and growing your knowledge and skills in PBS in a leadership position
n
n
n
Embracing and elevating the client's voice and input, promoting client satisfaction and robust outcomes.
n
n
What we are looking for?:

A BSP who is passionate about best practice
n
A BSP who wants to take the next step and enjoys working with, learning from, and teaching others
n
Registration as a Proficient or above Behaviour Support Practitioner
n
Leadership experience or potential with a commitment to continuous learning
n
An Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree
n
n
n
Experience working with or supporting people with a disability across age ranges
n
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Very strong time management skills
n
Strong ability to follow legislative requirements, policy and procedures
n
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
n
A proactive attitude with passion for working with people with a disability
n
A Driver's Licence and own a vehicle with insurance
n
NDIS Worker's Screening Check
n
n
n
Ongoing commitment to professional development and learning
n
n
Desired:
n
n
Advanced or Specialist registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
n
Post-graduate degree in Positive Behaviour
Support/Occupational
Therapy/Speech and Language Pathology/Social Work/Psychology
n
Registration as a Speech and Language Pathologist/Social
Worker/Occupational
Therapist/Teacher/Nurse/Provisional
Psychologist/Psychologist
or another health, disability, or allied health profession
n
