We're looking for an experienced Mine Geologist to join our underground mining team on a permanent basis. Graduate Geologists will also be considered.

This role is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and managing the daily mine geological activities under the direction of the Senior Geotechnical & Projects Engineer.

What you'll be doing
n

Daily/Monthly
production/geological
data validation and reporting.
n
Geological and geo technical mapping.
n
Designing and marking up faces
n
Collaborating with engineers to develop effective mine plans with a focus on ore recovery
n
Collaborating with
operators/supervisors
to implement mine plans
n
Monthly and PTD block model reconciliation
n
n
What we are looking for
n
n
Minimum a Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geosciences
n
Competency with at least one mine planning software package, preferably Vulcan
n
Understanding of mining techniques and methodologies, to aid in the best extraction of minimally diluted ore
n
Experience in mine geology and grade control practices
n
Understanding of relevant sections of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
n
