The Team
n
The Mildura Base Public Hospital's (MBPH) Maternity Unit is a progressive unit with a 12 bed
Antenatal/Postnatal
ward, 4 bed birth-suite (Level 4), Maternity Assessment Unit and a 6 cot Special Care Nursery (Level 3). The service covers the North West region of Victoria and part of NSW. Delivering around 900 births per year, we are supported by the O&G; doctors, a MUM, ANUMs, Midwifery Educator, Clinical Support Midwives and a dynamic midwifery team who work within the hospital's HEART values.

The Role
n
Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) are seeking Registered Nurses with an interest in pursuing Midwifery to apply.
n
MBPH works in collaboration with Latrobe University to offer the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery through their Bendigo Campus. The course will commence in January **** and runs until end of February ****.
n
The course is a paid employment model at 0.8 FTE and successful applicant will be offered a 12-month contract with the Mildura Base Public Hospital, with the potential for a graduate midwifery position
n
This a part time (0.8 FTE), fixed term role commencing January **** until February ****
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
n
12 months post graduate experience in acute setting
n
Well-developed assessment skills
n
In depth ability to apply problem-solving
n
Demonstrated teamwork skills
n
