About the role

Unley TerryWhite Chemmart is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a community pharmacy environment in Unley, SA ****, where you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations and delivering exceptional customer service. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will work closely with our pharmacists and the broader team to ensure smooth daily operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care for our customers.

Key responsibilities

Providing friendly and professional customer service at the pharmacy counter, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring their satisfaction
n
Processing customer transactions accurately using the pharmacy point-of-sale system
n
Assisting with the receipt, storage and management of pharmaceutical stock in accordance with regulatory requirements
n
Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by pharmacy legislation and company procedures
n
Supporting the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications under appropriate supervision
n
Ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, organised and protected at all times
n
Assisting with the maintenance of pharmacy equipment and supplies
n
Supporting promotional activities and helping to maintain product displays
n
Adhering to all pharmacy regulations, professional standards and company policies
n

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for customer service and community healthcare

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Strong organisational and time management abilities
n
Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when processing transactions and handling medications
n




Ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
A professional approach to confidentiality and patient privacy
n
Willingness to learn about pharmaceutical products and pharmacy operations
n
Previous retail or healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential
n
Current or willingness to obtain a Pharmacy Assistant qualification or equivalent where applicable
n
Basic IT skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is beneficial
