Are you areliable, patient and confident Disability Support Workerwho enjoys building genuine connections and helping people achieve their goals?
Nextt is looking for amale Disability Support Workerto join an established support team working alongside a male participant in his 30s.
This is a great chance for someone who enjoys active support, community engagement and working as part of a cooperative team.
The role is2:1 support, with two Support Workers supporting the participant each day.
What You'll Be Doing
Your support may include:
Providing person-centred support tailored to the participant's individual needs and goals
Swimming with the participant in the pooland supporting safe, positive participation in swimming sessions
Supporting community, social and recreational activities
Following established support plans and Positive Behaviour Support strategies
Completing accurate shift documentation and recording relevant information to support Allied Health assessments
Communicating effectively with the participant, family/support network and Allied Health professionals
Working collaboratively with the existing support team
Maintaining a professional, respectful and supportive approach at all times
When You'll Work
Casual shifts available:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays,8:30am-3:30pm and 10am-2pm
Opportunity to pick up additional shifts when the other provider is unable to fill shifts
2:1 support
You don't need to be available every day.
We're looking for someone who can offerreliable and consistent availability, particularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
What You'll Earn
SCHADS Award B2.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
Base hourly rate:$*****/hr
Afternoon shift (ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday–Friday):$*****/hr
Active Night shift (finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday–Friday):$*****/hr
Saturday:$*****/hr
Sunday:$*****/hr
Public Holiday:$*****/hr
What You'll Need
Confident swimming ability – essential, as you will be required to swim in the pool with the participant
Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar support role
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to follow support plans and professional guidance
Reliable, patient and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support
Desirable
Experience working with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs
Experience collecting and recording information for Allied Health assessments and interventions
