About The Role
The Payroll Manager plays a vital role in keeping our chi flowing behind the scenes.
With over 1,000 team members and more joining us each week, we're looking for a detail driven, people focused leader to own and manage our end to end payroll processes across Australia.

This role will be Sydney based.
This is a hands on role for someone who loves the fast paced rhythm of hospitality, thrives in a multi site environment, and brings a strong understanding of award interpretation and compliance.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll work closely with Operations, People & Culture, and Talent Acquisition to ensure every Yo-Chi team member is paid accurately, compliantly, and on time - every time.
Tanda Time and Attendance experience is essential to be able to drive new system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and process weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees in line with the Fast Food Industry Award
Lead and develop a small team of 2-3 part time payroll staff
Manage time and attendance systems (Tanda), including onboarding, roster checks, and leave approvals
Ensure compliance with superannuation, PAYG,



and payroll tax across multiple states
Maintain accurate employee records, partnering with Ops and Talent teams to ensure data integrity
Interpret award conditions and support internal audits and payroll queries
Continuously improve payroll processes and workflows to support our scale up journey
You'll bring:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a payroll leadership or senior payroll officer role
Demonstrated experience as an expert user across Tanda Time and Attendance
In depth knowledge and end to end payroll processing
A solid understanding of the Fast Food Industry Award or similar high volume awards
Solid attention to detail, analytical thinking, and an ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
