Thiess is seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our high‐performing maintenance teams across multiple sites in Queensland.
Olive Downs Complex – Moranbah
Lake Vermont – Dysart
QCoal Northern Hub – Collinsville
EVA Copper – Cloncurry
Peak Downs – Moranbah
Caval Ridge – Moranbah
Curragh North – Blackwater
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in keeping our operations moving.
Responsibilities
Servicing, maintaining, and repairing large‐scale mining equipment
Handling breakdowns and completing component change‐outs efficiently
Using OEM manuals and technical systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Conducting inspections to maximise equipment performance and uptime




Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards
Qualifications
Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting
Proven post‐trade experience in mining or heavy earthmoving
Strong skills across maintenance, breakdowns, and equipment servicing
A proactive, safety‐first mindset and pride in your work
