Greater Northern Community Services (GNCS) is seeking an experienced Support Worker to support a female participant in her early 40s living with Huntington's Disease in Langwarrin.
You will provide person-centred support while encouraging independence and building a genuine and trusting relationship with the participant.
Key responsibilities
Community access and outings
Grocery shopping
Meal preparation
Light household cleaning
Supporting independence with everyday activities
Personal care as required
About you
Previous experience supporting someone with Huntington's Disease
Robust knowledge and understanding of Huntington's Disease and the support needs that may come with it
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Current First Aid & CPR
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Comfortable around a small dog in the home
Reliable, patient, compassionate and able to provide consistent support
