Job Description
Responsibilities

See the big picture â establish the technical solutions for digital products and services enabling reâuse, flexibility and scale and accelerating our ability to build compelling products and services.
n
Ideate â evolve and reâimagine our technology stack ensuring resilient and modern functionality is maintained while clearing the way for the next horizon of innovation.
n
Build â directly contribute to engineering, engineering practices, correction and support and work in close partnership with your product and engineering team members to build and experiment cohesive products and services â delivering frequently, efficiently and safely based on codified patterns, controlled pipelines and automated quality frameworks.
n
Assure, run and manage â support the team across quality engineering enabling consistent patterns, assessment of quality and improvements to designs to simplify our landscape, eliminate waste and to operation and run manage the platforms safely.
n
Connect â build strong relationships with our product, engineering, cyber, data and delivery stakeholders.
n
Research and learn â bring in innovative thought leadership to the team and drive designs that are contextual given our current landscape, our regulatory obligations and our future goals.
n
Lead and develop engineers â coach engineers through code reviews, technical guidance and bestâpractice standards.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Minimum ***** years of software engineering experience,
including leadership of highâperforming engineering teams delivering customerâfacing products.
n
Proven track record of leading complex engineering initiatives, driving technical design decisions and delivering scalable, highâquality solutions.
n
Experience with CI/CD, cloudânative application development, resiliency, secure engineering practices, production monitoring, incident response and AIâpowered development tools.
n
Deep technical expertise across modern technology stacks, including Java, TypeScript, Python, React/Next.js, Node.js, SQL, HTML/CSS, AWS, GCP, REST APIs, and streaming and queuing technologies.
n
Led technical design discussions, collaborated effectively with business stakeholders, and influenced outcomes across Product, Design and key stakeholder groups.
n
Strong analytical, problemâsolving and decisionâmaking skills, with ability to learn quickly and deliver highâquality outcomes in fastâpaced environments.
n
Proven peopleâleadership skills with a track record of mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation and collaboration.
n
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data, Finance, Technology or a related discipline.
n
Legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
n
