Job Description
We are a leading Australian customised manufacturing and importer of steel packaging.

The Management Accountant will support our manufacturing operations and strategic decision-making by undertaking the following duties:
n
Develop, maintain and review financial controls, management accounting systems and cost-control procedures.
n
Analyse product manufacturing costs, raw material costs, production overheads, margins and sales pricing.
n
Prepare regular management accounts, financial reports, cash-flow forecasts and supporting taxation documentation.
n
Coordinate annual budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis across manufacturing and operational activities.
n
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts and organisational targets.
n
Prepare financial modelling and analysis to support product pricing, production planning and commercial decisions.
n
Assess the value and financial performance of company assets, plant, equipment and proposed capital investments.
n
Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improved profitability.
n




Provide management with timely financial advice and reports to support strategic planning and business growth.
n
Establish and review financial risk-management processes, internal controls and reporting procedures.
n
Identify accounting irregularities, control weaknesses and areas of non-compliance, and recommend appropriate corrective action.
n
Review the accuracy and integrity of financial information and ensure reporting complies with relevant statutory and organisational requirements.
n
Support funding and cash-flow requirements and liaise with banks, financial institutions, external accountants and other qualified advisers.
n
Assist management in evaluating investment, capital expenditure and business development proposals.
n
Supervise and support accounting staff, including reviewing their work and ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial reporting.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement, benchmarking and cost-efficiency initiatives across the manufacturing operations.
