Build the platform that powers engineering.We're partnering with a globally recognised technology-driven organisation that's investing heavily in its cloud engineering capabilities. They're looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to drive the evolution of a large-scale analytics and compute platform used by engineering teams to build, test and deploy mission-critical applications.

This is a role for someone who loves solving complex engineering problems at scale. You'll lead a talented team while remaining technically credible, influencing architecture, engineering standards and platform direction. Rather than building a single application, you'll be creating the foundations that enable hundreds of engineers to deliver faster, safer and more efficiently.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Lead a team responsible for a cloud-native engineering and analytics platform used across multiple development teams.
n
Define the technical direction, architecture and engineering standards for a highly available, scalable platform.
n
Work closely with engineering leaders, product teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
n
Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
n
Drive platform reliability, performance, security and automation across the engineering ecosystem.
n
Champion modern engineering practices including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD,



cloud-native development and AI-assisted software engineering.
n
Partner with technical and non‐technical users to improve developer experience and maximise platform adoption.
n

What we're looking for
n
You'll be an experienced engineering leader with the technical depth to earn the respect of senior engineers while possessing the communication skills to influence stakeholders across the business.
n
You'll ideally bring
n
n
Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering large-scale platforms or shared engineering services.
n
Strong software engineering background in Python, Java or Scala.
n
Experience building cloud-native platforms using AWS and Kubernetes.
n
Deep knowledge of distributed systems, platform engineering and scalable infrastructure.
n
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Helm or CloudFormation.
n
Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and developer productivity tooling.
n
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with engineers, architects, executives and business users.
n
Experience introducing AI-powered engineering tools, developer workflows or automation would be highly regarded.
