Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to step into investing from a top-tier consulting, investment banking, or principal investing background and work with a high-performing Australian mid-market private equity firm focused on majority growth equity investments across ANZ.
The firm has built a strong track record partnering with founder-led and management-owned businesses, backing profitable companies with clear growth runways.
Its investment approach is hands-on and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on strategy, operational improvement, and long-term value creation rather than financial engineering.
With strong fund momentum and an active pipeline, the team is expanding its investment team.
The role
As an Investment Associate, you will work closely with senior investors and portfolio company management teams on both new investments and existing portfolio businesses.
Responsibilities include:
Building and reviewing financial and operating models to assess growth strategies and investment scenarios
Supporting commercial, market and strategic due diligence
Developing investment theses, market assessments and IC materials
Working with management teams on growth initiatives,



strategic priorities and value creation plans
Monitoring portfolio performance and supporting board-level analysis
Conducting sector research to identify attractive investment themes
About you
This role is well suited to candidates with:
2-4 years' experience in consulting (MBB preferred), Investment Banking, or private equity/venture capital
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an investor mindset
Experience assessing growth strategies, markets and competitive dynamics
Commercial judgement and the ability to synthesise complex information clearly
Robust communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
A clear interest in moving into an investing role and working closely with business leaders
Prior transaction experience is helpful but not essential.
Intellectual curiosity, ownership and judgement matter more.
