Hungry Jack's is seeking a Head of Capability to lead our company wide capability and engagement strategy.
You'll play a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining the amazing people who power our network across Australia.
This role will focus on enhancing employee experience, strengthening our EVP, embedding a high-performance and value-led culture through learning, recognition, career development and engagement frameworks
Responsibilities:
Capability & Learning Strategy
Design and deliver a capability strategy that fuels operational excellence and future-readiness.
Embed a culture of continuous learning across our restaurants and support teams.
Lead the creation of programs from onboarding to leadership development and compliance.
Use data to identify capability gaps and optimise learning investments.
Employee Experience & EVP
Shape and champion our Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
Improve employee lifecycle touchpoints—from recruitment to retention.
Collaborate with key teams to embed EVP into every employee interaction.
Develop and maintain structured career pathways from crew to leadership, enabling internal mobility and upskilling
Ensure pathways support diversity, equity, and inclusion and are align with workforce planning priorities
Collaborate with operations and L&D; to define role‐specific competency frameworks
Lead innovative reward and recognition programs that drive engagement.
Partner with People & Culture and Payroll to enhance employee advantages.
Manage external platforms and vendors supporting recognition and benefits.
Engagement Systems & Insights
Oversee digital systems supporting learning, recognition, and real‐time feedback.
Lead employee surveys, insights analysis, and action planning.
Build a feedback‐driven culture across the network.
Leadership & Influence
Inspire and grow a high‐performing capability and experience team.
Partner with senior leaders to embed capability and engagement priorities.
Represent the function across business forums and external partners.
What You'll Bring
8–10+ years' experience in L&D;, capability, or people experience leadership roles.
Track record in leading enterprise‐wide capability or engagement strategies.
Deep knowledge of learning systems, recognition platforms, and engagement tools.
Expertise in career architecture, competency frameworks, and EVP design.
Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
