Overview
We are seeking a skilled Non-Functional Quality Engineer lead to ensure the performance, scalability, and resilience of our AWS-based platforms.
This role involves designing and executing comprehensive non-functional testing strategies, simulating high-load scenarios across API interfaces, and validating that our systems meet rigorous standards for latency, throughput, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain non-functional test frameworks to ensure robust test coverage and quality.
Lead the planning and execution of non-functional testing, including:
Performance Testing
Monitoring & Alerting Validation
Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing
Backup & Restoration Testing
Resiliency Testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams product, systems, and service design to ensure thorough test coverage.
Identify and recommend improvements in requirements and design processes to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Map test cases and scripts to user story acceptance criteria to ensure traceability and coverage.
Analyse test outcomes,



identify performance bottlenecks, and work with engineering teams to enhance system stability and efficiency.
Integrate non-functional testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and architecture teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in performance and resiliency testing within AWS environments.
Strong foundation in performance engineering and non-functional testing methodologies.
Hands‐on expertise with tools like JMeter and Gatling.
Ability to interpret complex technical requirements and architecture documents to define optimal testing strategies.
Proficiency with version control systems such as GitLab.
Strong debugging skills to identify performance issues with minimal data.
Practical experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
Experience validating cloud-hosted vendor solutions and their integration with legacy systems.
Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of trade lifecycle, clearing mechanisms, and off‐market trade reporting.
