Role overview
Our client is an established Tier 3 civil contractor, that have a strong presence in both the public and private sectors, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Estimator to join their growing business.
As the Estimator you'll be joining a thriving business within an already 3 person estimating team where you be responsible for working across numerous tenders in the civil sector valued between $5m-$30m.
You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.
Types of projects include sub divisions, bulk earthworks, general civil, roadworks.
Sub division experience is highly preferable.
Candidates will need to have strong communication skills as will be part of the preconstruction team and will be involved in putting tenders together as well as tender interviews.
Projects located across Sydney Metro but based out of the Sydney office.
Responsibilities
Working on tenders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Preparation and submission of tenders
Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness




Tender negotiations
Coordinate tender handover to project team
Prepare budgets based on tender submission
Assess and price contract variation orders
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
Qualifications and requirements
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
5+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m+
Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
Effective problem solving abilities
High level of commercial acumen
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
