About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response within our Defence team.
This leadership role requires expertise in security environments, monitoring tools, and advanced threat detection methods.
You will manage SOC operations, mentor analysts, and ensure effective threat detection and response across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the SOC team, managing daily operations and incident workflows.
Monitor and analyze security alerts and risks across core and regional nodes.
Develop and enforce SOC procedures, playbooks, and escalation protocols.
Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
Collaborate with Detection Engineers to optimize SIEM alerting.
Support team development through training, mentorship, and performance management.
Communicate threat posture, incident impacts, and risk mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
Improve SOC processes, reporting, and integrate new technologies or threat intelligence feeds.
Skills and Experience
Security Clearance: NV2 required




Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
Extensive SOC leadership experience, including incident management and team supervision
Proficiency with security tools (SIEM, EDR, NDR, device/application control)
Experience with Defence and national security environments, frameworks, and security requirements
Strong strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage complex security environments under pressure
