About the Role
n
The Principal Consultant is a senior advisory role responsible for leading complex asset management projects, managing key client relationships, and mentoring project teams. This position is critical to expanding our advisory practice and offers a clear pathway to leadership succession as COSOL continues to grow its footprint across mining and other asset-intensive industries.

What You'll Do
n
Client & Business Development
n
n
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with major mining operators and key client stakeholders
n
Act as a trusted advisor in client-facing meetings, bringing deep technical and industry credibility to every conversation
n
Identify and drive business development opportunities within existing accounts
n
Support the growth of new accounts by identifying client needs and shaping tailored asset management solutions
n
Represent COSOL's advisory capability in client discussions, proposals, and pitches
n
Work closely with sales and capability leadership to convert opportunities into scoped, resourced engagements
n
Lead multiple asset management projects concurrently across different clients and sites
n
Develop robust project schedules, plans, and reporting structures to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
n
Manage the ongoing trade-offs between cost, risk, and performance throughout project execution
n
Proactively identify and resolve project issues, risks, and bottlenecks before they impact delivery
n
Select, coordinate, and deploy the right resources and skill sets against project needs
n
Monitor project performance against scope, budget, and timeline, adjusting plans as required
n
Ensure quality outcomes and client satisfaction across all project deliverables
n
Mentor and guide project teams throughout delivery, ensuring consistency, quality, and knowledge transfer
n
Mentor and coach project managers, engineers, analysts, and consultants across the advisory practice
n
Provide technical guidance and support the professional development of junior and mid-level team members
n
Support the development of advisory capability, tools, and methodologies to strengthen COSOL's offering
n
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement within the practice
n
Play an active role in shaping the future direction and growth of the advisory team
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Asset Management / Reliability
n
Senior consulting experience in asset management, reliability engineering, or related fields
n
Engineering background in mining, mechanical, reliability, maintenance, or electrical disciplines
n
Ideally a blend of
advisory/consultancy
and site-based experience
n
Proven project leadership experience managing multiple client engagements
n
Experience in business development and account growth
n
Solid client engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills
n
A proactive, action-oriented "doer" personality
n
Strategic thinking and superior problem-solving abilities
n
Mentorship and leadership capability
