Payments Reconciliation Analyst

THE CLIENT
n
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand moving through a large and exciting transformation stage. They are seeking an experienced Payment & Reconciliation Specialist to take ownership of a critical finance function. This role offers the opportunity to become the subject matter expert across payment operations, reconciliation and client settlement processes.

THE ROLE
n
n
Reconcile incoming funds and settlements against transaction volumes
n
Manage relationships with payment providers
n
Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, exceptions and variances
n
Calculate and process client payouts accurately and on time
n
Validate provider fees including processing fees, chargebacks, interchange and FX costs
n
Monitor failed payments, duplicate transactions and settlement delays
n
Produce reconciliation reports and payment performance analysis
n
Maintain robust controls and audit-ready documentation
n
Support compliance requirements and operational risk controls
n
Work closely with Finance, Client Success and Technology teams
n
Identify opportunities to automate and improve reconciliation workflows
n
Support the business through its NetSuite go-live and ongoing optimisation
n
n
THE PERSON
n
n
Experience in reconciliation, payments operations, treasury or finance role
n
Strong understanding of payment processing flows, settlements and funding cycles
n
Experience within financial services highly regarded
n
Robust Excel skills with confidence handling large transaction volumes
n
Proven ability to identify, investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues
n
Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Exposure to NetSuite, ERP systems or reconciliation tools would be advantageous
n
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline preferred
n
