The College Headmaster is inviting applications from exceptional Mathematics Teachers who are active Christians for the position of Assistant Leader of Learning - Mathematics 7-12. The role is suitable for experienced Maths Teachers with leadership aspirations. The role will commence at the start of term ******.

The successful applicant will be registered with the New South Wales Educational Standards (NESA) and be accredited as a Proficient or an Experienced Teacher. The successful applicant will support the Leader of Mathematics, leading a team of highly competent, experienced and enthusiastic staff. This is a Leadership 1 Position at the College and the successful applicant would be accountable to the College Headmaster through the Head of Senior Years and Director of Teaching and Learning 7-12. The successful applicant would be a teacher with teaching experience and qualifications suitable for such a leadership role.

The Assistant Leader of Learning - Mathematics will provide support to the Leader of Learning - Mathematics in relation to the development of Teaching and Learning within the Mathematics subject area along with administrative duties associated with the role. They will also support the day-to-day running of the wider Faculty and the organisational roles within it.

Have a depth of knowledge and experience in teaching Stage 6 Mathematics.

Have experience in or the skills and ability to teach the extension 1 and extension 2 HSC courses
n
Display high levels of organisational and communication skills
n
Be committed to collaboration across all levels within the College community
n
Be committed to the use of educational technology in the classroom and beyond

Areas of responsibility
n
n
Collaborate with the Leader of Mathematics to support the Mathematics team, including contributing to recommendations for staff development and professional learning initiatives
n
Provide support to the Leader of Mathematics, assisting with tasks that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the faculty
n
Contribute to the broad development and advocacy of Literacy Strategies within the broader College community
n
n
Administration
n
n
Assist with the day-to-day management and leadership of the Mathematics Faculty, providing guidance and support to Mathematics teachers as needed
n
Support the Leader of Mathematics with the preparation and completion of necessary documentation
n
Contribute to the programming and development of Mathematics subjects across Stages 4, 5, and 6, ensuring alignment with NESA requirements
n
Assist with the management of Mathematics student reports
n
Support the Leader of Mathematics in the management of Mathematics budgets and resources
n
n
Other Teaching and Learning
n
n
Exemplary classroom teaching
n
Contribute to the development and monitoring of a differentiated curriculum for all Mathematics courses, ensuring they cater to diverse student needs
n
Assist the Leader of Mathematics in coordinating faculty meetings
n
Support the Leader of Mathematics in overseeing quality assessment practices within the faculty
n
n
Communication
n
n
Support effective communication of and advocacy for Executive decisions within the Mathematics Faculty
n
Maintain a positive personal presence at the College community events and staff functions as required
n
n
Other
n
n
Demonstrate a willingness to attend expected College events
n
Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to co-curricular College activities. This will involve hours outside of the regular College day
n
Other duties as required by the Headmaster
n
