Senior Contract Administrator - Commercial Construction

NOW Energy is partnering with a well-established and growingcommercial construction builderspecialising in refurbishment, fit-out and construction projects across theretail, education, hospitality, service station and commercial sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we are seeking an experiencedSenior Contract Administratorto join their high-performing team on a permanent basis.
This opportunity would suit an accomplished CA who has developed strong commercial and contractual expertise within aPrincipal Contractor environmentand is comfortable taking ownership of the commercial administration of projects from award through to completion.
About the Role Working closely with Project Managers and the wider delivery team, you will take a senior role in the commercial and contractual management of projects while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
You will be expected to work autonomously, identify commercial risks early and ensure projects are administered effectively to achieve strong financial and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage construction contracts throughout the full project lifecycle
Take ownership of project commercial and contractual administration
Prepare, review and administerhard dollar / fixed-price contracts
Manage subcontractor tendering, evaluation, negotiation and procurement
Prepare and administer subcontract agreements and scopes of work
Manage project budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow
Assess and process subcontractor progress claims
Prepare and manage head contract progress claims
Identify, prepare, negotiate and manage variations
Monitor project costs and identify emerging commercial risks
Manage contractual notices,



extensions of time and other contractual requirementsli>
Prepare accurate monthly project and commercial reporting
Assist Project Managers with commercial strategy and decision-making
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Support and mentor less experienced Contract Administrators where required
Assist with project close-out, final accounts and commercial handover
About You To be successful, you will ideally have:
6+ years' experiencein Contract Administration within commercial construction
Demonstrated experience working for aPrincipal Contractor
Strong experience administering commercial construction projects from award through to completion
Refurbishment andfit-out experience highly regarded
Experience across retail, education, hospitality or similar commercial sectors advantageous
Strong understanding ofhard dollar / fixed-price construction contracts
Proven subcontractor procurement and negotiation experience
Strong knowledge of variations, claims, forecasting and cost control
Ability to identify and manage contractual and commercial risk
Excellent commercial judgement and negotiation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction workplace
