A highly regarded Federal Government department is seeking to engageCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystto support its Cyber Security uplift Stream on a department wide ICT modernisation.
You will play a key role in strengthening security monitoring capabilities, optimising SIEM performance, and enhancing visibility across enterprise systems in a complex, high-security environment.
The successfulCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystwill be offered a contract on a newly established ICT modernisation program.
The successfulCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystwill be responsible for, but not limited to:
Monitor, maintain, and optimise SIEM platforms, including log ingestion, dashboards, alerts, and correlation rules
Investigate and triage security events, providing analysis and remediation recommendations across a multi-technology environment
Enhance detection and response capabilities through threat hunting, automation (SOAR), and playbook development
Identify anomalous behaviour (including UEBA) and support incident response activities with key stakeholders




Contribute to reporting, continuous improvement, and the development of SOPs for cyber incident response
The successfulCyber Security Operations Specialists / SOC Analystwill have experience in the following:
2+ years' experience in SOC or security operations roles
Ability to analyse logs in complex ICT environments and respond effectively to security alerts
Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, and related monitoring technologies
Understanding of cyber-attack tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), with the ability to identify them in a SOC setting
Solid communication skills, with exposure to developing dashboards, reports, and response playbooks
