Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for more than just month end reporting?

This is an opportunity to join a large, well established Australian organisation with international backing, where you'll play a key role in the finance team while developing towards a future Financial Controller position.

Working within a complex corporate setting, you'll combine technical accounting with leadership responsibilities, process improvement initiatives and exposure to international operations. What you'll be doing
n
n
Lead the Accounts Payable and Payroll teams, providing guidance and support.
n
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with financial reporting activities.
n
Support international tax compliance and statutory reporting.
n
Prepare and review financial derivatives and back-office accounting.
n
Ensure compliance with FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover and other statutory requirements.
n
Assist with external audits and insurance renewals.
n
Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function.
n
Partner with stakeholders across the business to support operational and financial outcomes.
n

About you
n
n
CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion).
n




Proven experience as a Financial Accountant within a large corporate or complex business.
n
Strong SAP experience or similar is ideal
n
Previous experience leading or mentoring finance staff.
n
Sound knowledge of financial reporting, statutory compliance and accounting principles.
n
Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, mining, FMCG or other large corporate environments will be highly regarded.
n
A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to improve systems and processes.
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
n
