About the role:
n
As RACQ's Payroll Business Partner, you'll own the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring our people are paid accurately, on time, every time. You'll be the go-to expert for payroll advice, compliance, and continuous improvement, partnering with leaders and key stakeholders to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

Manage accurate and timely fortnightly and monthly payroll processing.
n
Provide expert advice on payroll legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and employee entitlements.
n
Resolve complex payroll queries and issues with a customer-focused, risk-aware approach.
n
Partner with HR, Finance, and external agencies to ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met.
n
Support audits, reporting, year-end activities, and payroll-related projects.
n
Drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
n
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract

What You'll Bring:
n
You are an experienced payroll professional who builds strong relationships and delivers exceptional service. Curious and solutions-focused, you enjoy partnering with stakeholders, improving processes, and providing practical payroll advice. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
n
n
5–7 years' payroll experience with a qualification in Business, Finance, Payroll, or a related field.
n
Proven expertise delivering accurate end-to-end payroll and interpreting complex Enterprise Agreements and policies.
n
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, leave entitlements, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, salary packaging, and deductions.
n
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data, solve problems, and manage complex payroll matters.
n
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach and the confidence to support and mentor others.
n
Highly organised, detail-focused, and trusted to manage confidential information.
n
Experience with Chris21 (Frontier Software) will be highly regarded.
