About the Role
Provide high‐quality post‐anaesthetic and perioperative nursing care across a range of hospital settings within Darling Downs Health. You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient‐centred care within Post Anaesthetic Care Units (PACU), ensuring optimal recovery outcomes for patients following surgical and procedural interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive post‐anaesthetic nursing care
Assess and monitor patients during the immediate recovery phase
Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration
Administer medications and pain management interventions
Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre staff,



and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Support patient safety and quality standards within perioperative services
Provide support across broader perioperative services where required
Contribute to Anaesthetic, Scrub Scout, and Endoscopy services within scope and experience (highly desirable)

What you'll need
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
Minimum 1 year recent PACU/Recovery nursing experience
Experience in
Anaesthetics, Scrub Scout, and Endoscopy
highly desirable
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary perioperative teams
Australian working rights (non-sponsorship position due to contract timeframe)
