What you'll do

Create innovative short-form video templates and narrative frameworks that resonate with users on the Canva platform.

Transform cultural trends and platform-specific behaviors into versatile creative assets that can be widely utilized.

Design engaging hooks, smooth transitions, and compelling storytelling sequences that reflect genuine social media interactions.

Collaborate closely with teams across Product, Editing, Video, and Content Studio to ensure a cohesive creative vision.
n
Manage a substantial volume of creative output while maintaining high standards of technical craftsmanship and design excellence.

Participate in ongoing trend analysis, content evaluations, and strategic creative discussions to stay ahead of the curve.

Support the exploration of new workflows that incorporate motion design, video editing, and AI-driven content creation techniques.

Contribute to the development of best practices for video content that aligns with user needs and industry standards.

Engage in user testing to gather feedback and refine templates based on real-world usage.

Stay updated on emerging social media trends to ensure Canva's offerings remain relevant and appealing.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in transforming social media trends into user-friendly templates that can be utilized by individuals with varying skill levels.

Solid foundation in motion design, video editing, and storytelling tailored for mobile platforms.

In-depth understanding of the cultural nuances and content formats prevalent on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with a strong emphasis on iterative design processes.

A compelling portfolio showcasing your expertise in video and motion design, highlighting your creative approach and technical skills.
