Located just 12 kilometres from Sydney CBD, our area is home to more than 130,000 residents, Macquarie Park's innovation precinct, leading hospitals, a major university and an extensive network of parks, sporting facilities and green spaces.
As our community grows, so does the need for high-quality infrastructure. That's why we're looking for a passionate Civil Engineer who wants to make a genuine impact on the places where people live, work and connect.
The Opportunity
This is more than a technical assessment role. It's an opportunity to influence the delivery of public infrastructure that will benefit the community for years to come.
As part of our specialist engineering team, you'll assess development applications, review civil and public domain designs, and help ensure new infrastructure meets Council standards and community expectations.
Working closely with developers, consultants, stakeholders and Council teams, you'll play an important role in shaping developments across the City of Ryde.
You'll also gain valuable exposure to a broad range of infrastructure projects and engineering disciplines, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their local government or public infrastructure career.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
You'll have:
A Civil Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia
Experience assessing development applications and reviewing engineering designs
Sound knowledge of public domain, civil and infrastructure works
The ability to interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
