ABC Refinery are currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join their team, located in Marrickville, Sydney.

Working as part
oftheLaboratoryteam,
the main purpose of this role is to support the manufacturing team by providing analytical testing services of raw materials and metals.
n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
All aspects of fire assay processes including weighing, de-slagging, cupellation and prilling
n
Carrying out routine analysis and testing
n
Adhere to all quality and safety standards
n
Record keeping and reporting of analysis results
n
Regular stocktakes and sample management
n
Participate in the preparation of samples for Fire Assay, XRF, ICP-OES, and Spark-OES analyses
n




Comply with all safe operating proceduresActively contribute to individual learning and development
n

About You:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Applied Chemistry, preferablymajoring in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline.
n
An understanding of Classical and Instrumental Analysis
n
Self-motivated and proactive approach
n
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and numeracy skills.
n
Ability to work effectively in a team and a strongwork ethic
n
Based in Marrickville, Sydney.
n
n
