Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
We are currently seeking a Clinical Specialist – Orthopaedics to join a growing medical device organisation and support surgeons and theatre teams across Melbourne.
This is an excellent chance for someone with strong orthopaedic theatre experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment and wants to develop their career within the medical device industry.
The Role: As a Clinical Specialist, you will work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, nurses and theatre teams, providing clinical and technical support during surgical procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing in-theatre clinical support during orthopaedic procedures
Supporting surgeons and theatre staff with products, instrumentation and procedural requirements
Developing strong relationships with surgeons, nurses and hospital stakeholders
Providing product and clinical education to theatre teams
Assisting with case preparation and ensuring appropriate equipment and instrumentation is available
Attending surgeries and providing hands‐on support throughout procedures
Building strong knowledge of orthopaedic procedures and technologies
Supporting the broader sales team with clinical expertise and customer relationships
Identifying opportunities to expand relationships within existing hospital accounts
About You
Ideally, you will have previous Clinical Specialist or Clinical Support experience within the medical device industry, particularly within orthopaedics. However,



we are also very interested in speaking with experienced clinicians looking to make the move into medical devices.
You may come from a background as a:
Clinical Specialist / Clinical Support Specialist
Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse
Scrub/Scout Nurse
Theatre Nurse
Highly experienced Registered Nurse with significant orthopaedic theatre experience
Most importantly, you will have strong exposure to orthopaedic surgery, ideally including areas such as:
Joint replacement / arthroplasty
Knee surgery
Hip surgery
Arthroscopy
Sports medicine
Orthopaedic trauma
General orthopaedic procedures
You will be confident in theatre, comfortable working alongside surgeons and have the communication skills to build strong professional relationships.

Clinically confident and highly knowledgeable within orthopaedics
Comfortable working in an operating theatre environment
Professional, personable and confident communicating with surgeons
Highly organised and able to manage multiple cases and priorities
Willing to travel throughout Melbourne as required
Commercially minded and interested in developing a career within medical devices
A strong team player who takes pride in providing exceptional clinical support
Previous medical device experience is highly desirable but not essential for the right orthopaedic clinician.
