We are seeking a trade-qualified Fitter Machinist / Toolmaker to join our Toolroom and Maintenance team at our Mortdale manufacturing site.

This is a post-trade, entry-level role suited to recently qualified tradespeople looking to build their experience in tooling, machining and manufacturing.
n
You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and be involved in maintaining, repairing and improving tooling and equipment across the site.
n
You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced Toolmakers and Engineering Tradespeople while building your career in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Toolmaking and fitting work in a manufacturing environment
n
Maintenance and repair of press tools and machinery
n
Fitting, setting and adjusting machinery and equipment
n
Assisting with fault finding and repairs on machinery and tooling
n
Manufacture, modify, and repair tooling used in production
n
Working closely with production and maintenance teams
n
Working alongside experienced tradespeople and learning new skills
n
Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards at all times
n
n
About You
n
n
Trade-qualified Toolmaker, Fitter Machinist or Mechanical Tradespersonn
n
Certificate III – Mechanical Trade or
n
Certificate III – Toolmaking Trade (or equivalent)
n
n
No post-trade experience required
n
Recently qualified tradespeople are encouraged to apply
n
Eager to learn and develop specialist tooling and machining skills
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
n
Reliable, practical and safety-focused
n
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
n
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
