About the Role
n
Pacific Partnerships has an opportunity for a Project Finance Director to join our Structured Finance & Strategic Projects team in North Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Structured Finance & Strategic Projects, this role will lead the investment and financing of complex infrastructure, energy, critical minerals and digital infrastructure transactions and be responsible for:

Leading end-to-end investment and project finance processes across a diverse portfolio of sectors
n
Originating, structuring and executing debt and equity financing transactions
n
Managing transaction execution, including negotiation of commercial and financial terms with key stakeholders
n
Leading capital raising activities and maintaining relationships with lenders,
investors and financial institutions
n
Overseeing the development of sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions and transaction structuring
n
Driving financial analysis, valuation and scenario testing to assess project viability and risk-adjusted returns
n
Designing and optimising capital structures aligned to strategic and commercial objectives
n
Leading investment screening, feasibility assessments and internal approvals processes
n
Assessing counterparty creditworthiness and evaluating financial risks
n
Preparing and presenting investment recommendations to senior stakeholders and investment committees
n
Leading financial due diligence processes and coordinating internal teams and external advisors
n
Supporting bid submissions, including pricing strategies, financing solutions and commercial structuring
n
Contributing to transaction origination and identifying new investment opportunities
n
Collaborating cross-functionally with legal, commercial and technical teams to deliver successful project outcomes
n
Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing team
n

About You
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Law or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications such as Masters of Finance or CFA are highly regarded)
n
10+ years' experience in project finance, infrastructure,
energy or related sectors
n
Demonstrated experience at sponsor, developer, banking or advisory level on complex project finance transactions
n
Solid track record in debt and/or equity financing and capital raising activities
n
Advanced financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis capabilities
n
Deep expertise in project finance structures, including PPPs and limited recourse financing
n
Strong commercial acumen with well-developed negotiation and stakeholder management skills
n
Experience working across infrastructure, renewables, critical minerals or digital infrastructure sectors highly regarded
n
Proven ability to lead transactions, manage teams and drive outcomes in complex environments
n
A strategic mindset with strong leadership capability and a collaborative approach
