Role
We're looking for a
Junior Designer
to join our creative Design team. The role is suited to someone who is passionate about design and product development. You'll support our Senior Designers in the design and management of product releases for all finished goods, private label brands.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who thrives in acreative and supportive studio environmentand enjoys seeing ideas evolve into finished products.
Duties and responsibilities
Support Senior Designers with the building of collections including a diverse range of homeware items including but not limited to,



upholstery & drapery fabric, cushions, throws, floor rugs, ready-made curtains and bedlinen.
Assist Senior Designers with the preparation of presentation materials, such as tech drawings storyboards & inspiration boards.
Liaise with agents and mills on quality and pricing
Ensure the product performs to Australian industry standards
Approval of lab dips and bulk samples with mill and purchasing team
Research and identify design and colour trends
Developing Repeat Patterns / Textile Design for both print and woven products.
Work within product briefs for private label collections
Ensure development of ranges are running on time
Styling and implementation of photography shoots within budget
Skills and experience
Qualifications in Textiles Design or other relevant /product design qualifications
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to research and interpret design and colour trends for the Australian market
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Sound time management
Professional presentation
