Experienced Customer Service Manager
We are looking for an experienced and hands‐on Customer Service Manager to join our team at Fresh & Save Deagon.
This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, leading and developing our front‐end team and ensuring the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the Customer Service department.
Full Time – 38 Hours (Tuesday–Saturday)
GRIA – Level 5
About the Role
As Customer Service Manager, you will:
Lead, support and develop the Customer Service team, providing clear direction and maintaining high performance standards
Create a strong customer‐first culture and ensure consistently high levels of service
Manage customer enquiries and complaints confidently and effectively
Oversee the day‐to‐day operation of the front end, including checkouts, Customer Service desk and trolley availability
Train and support team members across POS processes, cash handling, refunds and customer service standards
Manage floats, cash controls and front‐end security processes




Allocate team members effectively throughout the day to meet operational requirements
Monitor department standards and ensure the front end is clean, organised and customer ready
Support HR with recruitment, induction, training and performance management within the department
Work closely with the Store Manager and broader management team to support the overall performance of the store
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:
Previous retail supervisory or department management experience
Strong Customer Service or front‐end retail experience
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Proven ability to lead, motivate, train and develop a team
Confidence handling customer complaints and resolving issues
A hands‐on leadership style – you are comfortable working alongside your team
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
Confidence providing transparent direction and holding people accountable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‐solving
Computer literacy and confidence working with POS and retail systems
An understanding of workplace health and safety and food retail compliance requirements
The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the wider store management team
Experience within supermarkets, FMCG, food retail or a high‐volume customer service environment will be highly regarded.
