The Role
n
As a Field / Rig Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing electrical systems on drilling rigs and remote field sites. You will play a key role in ensuring safe and reliable operations, working alongside experienced teams in challenging environments.
n
What You Need
n
Electrical License (valid in required state)
n
Electrician Trade Certificate
n
EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) (valid within 3 years)
n
Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel (preferred – training available)
n
Physically fit with the ability to work long hours in remote locations
n
Comfortable working at heights and in extreme weather conditions
n
Robust teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
n
Valid manual driver's license
n
Awareness of Chain of Responsibility Regulations
n
National Police Clearance (less than 1 month old)
n
Fault diagnosis; extent of repairs, liaise with designated person for action, disassemble units and components for further investigation
n
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical systems such as, general, PLC and hazardous area compliance competency
n
Communicate to all relevant personnel on commissioning, servicing and maintenance,



defects and modifications to minimise risk
n
Team work in trouble shooting and diagnosing damage of drilling equipment, pumps, generators and motors
n
Ensure the preventative maintenance program for all drilling plant, top drives, pumps, hydraulics, generators, motors, vehicles and equipment is carried out in accordance with the maintenance schedule
n
Have a sound background with current drilling rig operations including camps
n
Actively participate in using methods to reduce operational risk.

Operate Vehicles in the Field (4WD Certificate)
