Electrical Project Engineer (Site-Based)
We are currently seeking an experienced Site-Based Electrical Project Engineer to join a high-profile construction project in Melbourne.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on-site, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and wants to be part of delivering a landmark project from the ground up.
Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering electrical services on-site.
You'll work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site-based electrical engineering activities
Coordinate electrical subcontractors and suppliers
Review and manage shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submissions
Assist with program planning, sequencing, and progress tracking
Ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards, and safety requirements
Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities
Identify and help resolve design, constructability, and installation issues
Contribute to cost control, variations, and reporting
About You




Degree or trade-qualified background in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience as a Project Engineer on large commercial or infrastructure projects
Strong site experience with electrical services installations
Solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively on-site
Well-organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
Familiar with Australian Standards and local construction practices
