Senior Investigator – Financial Fraud & Forensic Accounting | Sydney CBD (Hybrid) | Up to $150k package
A respected regulatory body is seeking a Senior Investigator to lead complex financial fraud matters and help protect consumers and market integrity.
This is a genuine end-to-end investigations role—ideal for a CA/CPA/IPA-qualified accountant from forensic accounting, insolvency/restructuring, internal audit, or investigations—who wants meaningful workwithout billable hours or sales targets.
What you'll do
Lead complex fraud and misconduct investigations from initial complaint through to court-ready outcomes
Identify and analyze financial evidence, transaction flows, and supporting documentation
Prepare high-quality forensic reports, evidentiary materials, and explicit recommendations
Support litigation outcomes, including expert witness preparation/support where required
Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen controls,



compliance, and prevention measures
What you'll bring
5+ years' experience in forensic accounting, insolvency/restructuring, internal audit, or regulatory investigations
Strong analytical capability and clear, confident written communication (you can explain complex financial issues simply)
Sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage sensitive matters to a high standard
Willingness to travel across Greater Sydney and occasionally regional NSW
