We're seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our Casula. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing business operating a up-to-date fleet of heavy vehicles and specialist equipment.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of heavy vehicles, trailers and vehicle loading cranes to ensure maximum reliability, compliance and uptime.
n
Working within a safety-focused maintenance environment, you'll carry out scheduled servicing, diagnostics, repairs and breakdown response while contributing to the ongoing reliability of our transport operations.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles, trailers and associated equipment
n
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
n
Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications
n
Complete inspections and defect repairs to maintain roadworthiness and compliance
n
Maintain and repair vehicle loading cranes (Hiab/Palfinger experience highly regarded)
n
Respond to vehicle breakdowns when requiredComplete maintenance records and service documentation accurately
n




Work safely in accordance with WHS legislation and company procedures
n
Support compliance with NHVR, Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements
n
Contribute to Reosteel's Integrated Management System (ISO ****, ISO ***** and ISO *****)
n

About You
n
You're a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in producing quality work and understands the importance of keeping a commercial fleet operating safely and efficiently.
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
n
Experience maintaining heavy vehicles and trailers
n
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
n
Current unrestricted driver's licence
n
Ability to work independently and within a team
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
Excellent attention to detail and time management
n
Reliable, proactive and professional attitude
n
n
Highly Desirable
n
n
HR or HC Driver Licence
n
Experience with Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz or Isuzu heavy vehicles
n
Experience servicing Hiab or Palfinger vehicle loading cranes
n
Hydraulic systems experience
n
Forklift licence
n
Air-conditioning licence
n
Welding and fabrication experience
n
