About the Role
You will be working at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. The hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.
The program of networked Basic Physician Training (BPT) was developed at the request of the NSW Minister for Health, co-ordinated by the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI), in association with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), NSW Health, NSW Local Health District, clinician trainers and physician trainees All parties involved in accordance with reference document: 'Basic Physician Training in NSW June ****.'
The Concord Network is one of 11 Basic Physician Training Networks in NSW and currently consists of one teaching hospital, one metropolitan hospital and two rural hospitals. Each Network is governed by a local Basic Physician Training Network Governance Committee (NGC). This committee monitors the effectiveness of the training networks in terms of the provision of high quality training and equitable distribution of the trainee workforce across the training networks.
Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated understanding of BPT requirements in NSW,
including knowledge of the RACP training criteria for BPTs and accreditation requirements.
Demonstrated experience in program coordination and governance in public health, medical administration or medical education system (i.e. HETI governance structure) in NSW.
Experience coordinating complex rostering, term allocations, recruitment, onboarding or workforce activities with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
