About the Role
We're seeking a
Senior Cyber Security Consultant – Detection & Response Engineer
to join our client's growing Cyber Defense team. This role sits within the
Assurance pillar
– one of four key areas in our client's cyber defense strategy and plays a critical part in proactive threat hunting and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute
incident response (IR)
activities—this is a
mandatory skillset
.
Conduct
proactive threat hunting
and detection across enterprise environments.
Serve as an escalation point in the
on-call roster
(approx. once per quarter).
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability uplift (desirable).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve detection and response tooling.
Contribute to the development of playbooks, runbooks, and automation strategies.
Support the team in building a strong cyber assurance culture.
About You
10+ years
of experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on detection and response.
Proven experience in
incident response
and threat hunting.
Robust problem solving skills and accountability mindset.




Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to
hit the ground running
.
Hands‐on experience with security tools is highly desirable.
