An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced
Data Engineer
to join a large, complex organisation and work across a mature enterprise data workplace.
This is a hands-on role combining
data engineering, data warehousing and Power BI development
, with a strong focus on the Microsoft technology stack. You'll help enhance an established Data Warehouse environment, develop ETL solutions and deliver high-quality reporting and data solutions that support business decision-making.
What you'll be doing
Enhance and maintain a complex
Data Warehouse
environment
Develop ETL solutions using
SQL Server, SSIS and Microsoft Fabric
Build engaging and effective
Power BI reports
Design and implement
semantic models
and operational data stores
Analyse and improve
ETL and reporting performance
Work closely with business SMEs to understand and refine data and reporting requirements
Provide technical advice across data engineering and business intelligence
What we're looking for




You'll be an experienced Data Engineer or BI Developer with a strong background in the
Microsoft data and BI ecosystem
.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Hands-on experience with
SSIS, SSAS and/or SSRS
Experience with
Microsoft Fabric
Solid
ETL development
, workflow and data mapping experience
Extensive
Data Warehouse development
experience
Understanding of conceptual, logical and physical
data modelling
Experience translating business requirements into practical data and reporting solutions
