Rivercity Maintenance Service is looking for an experienced and organised
Warehouse Storeperson
to take ownership of our warehouse, materials, tools and equipment.
This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked in a
plumbing trade store, plumbing wholesaler, trade counter or similar supply environment
and understands how important it is to have the right materials ready, organised and available when tradespeople need them.
You will work closely with our plumbers, supervisors, suppliers and office team to make sure materials are received, stored, picked, returned and distributed efficiently.
As our business continues to grow, we also need to make better use of the space available at our Albion office and warehouse. A major part of this role will be keeping the warehouse organised and ensuring our available storage space is being used efficiently and effectively.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in running an organised warehouse and can identify issues before they become problems.

Key responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient warehouse
Organise plumbing materials, fittings, consumables, tools and equipment in logical storage locations




Ensure available warehouse and property space is used efficiently
Receive and check supplier deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
Pick and prepare materials for upcoming plumbing jobs
Organise outgoing materials, tools and equipment for tradespeople
Assist tradespeople with loading and unloading vehicles
Help identify plumbing fittings, materials and commonly used stock when required
Manage the sign-in and sign-out register for tools and equipment
Check tools and equipment when returned for damage, missing components or maintenance requirements
Flag damaged or faulty tools and organise repairs as required
Ensure returned tools and equipment are stored correctly and ready for future use
Complete deliveries and collections to job sites and suppliers using a company vehicle
Manage supplier returns and ensure credits are received and correctly applied
Follow up outstanding supplier credits and returned materials
Monitor frequently used plumbing materials and consumables and identify stock requiring replenishment
Assist with stocktakes and stock control
Identify excess, obsolete or slow-moving stock
Maintain clear and safe access ways, loading areas and storage areas
Assist with improving warehouse layouts, shelving and storage systems
Maintain accurate records relating to tools, equipment, stock, returns and deliveries
Work with management to continually improve warehouse and stock processes
About you
This role would particularly suit someone who has previously worked in a plumbing trade store, plumbing wholesaler or similar trade supply environment and is looking for a role with more ownership and variety.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in plumbing trade supply, plumbing wholesale or a similar trade environment
Good knowledge of common plumbing fittings, materials and terminology
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience with stock control, deliveries, supplier returns and credits




Confidence dealing with tradespeople and suppliers
Basic computer and administration skills
A practical and proactive approach to problem solving
The ability to work independently and take ownership of the warehouse
A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who naturally likes things to be organised and takes pride in keeping a warehouse running efficiently.
You should be the type of person who notices when stock is in the wrong location, tools have not been returned, a supplier credit is outstanding or storage space could be used better — and takes action to resolve it.
This is not simply a role where you receive deliveries and put stock on shelves.
We want someone who can take ownership of the warehouse and help us develop better systems as the business grows.

Established in ****, we have grown to a team of approximately 30 people across our field and office operations.
Our technicians complete a wide range of commercial plumbing maintenance and project work, which means our warehouse holds a broad range of plumbing materials, specialist tools and equipment.
